Just When You Get To Feelin' Sorry For Yourself...

I made fried chicken last night and didn't clean all my dishes up before I went to bed.  I know better, but I was tired and not thinking clearly.  I obviously didn't have time to do it before I left for work today, which meant that when I got home my kitchen smelled a bit of chicken grease.  I immediately kicked into gear and started scrubbing everything down and indulging in some self-pity over having to clean up after a long day at work cleaning up after people.  Then I got online and found this appetizing bit of news: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30720344/?GT1=43001.  I'll take my day-old greasy skillet any day over that mental image!
If that last bit made you sick to your stomach, msnbc also provides some good news to wash it down.  The dreaded auto-warranty prerecorded nonsense telemarketing designed specifically to interrupt your dinner or wake up your (FINALLY) napping toddler (SHH!!  NOBODY MAKE A SOUND!  I THINK SHE'S ASL-- RINGRING-- @#$%*!!!) may soon stop!  Go, FTC, go! (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30694581/?GT1=43001)  Now if we can just get rid of the ones who offer to reduce your credit card interest rates.  Maybe I'm just overly paranoid, but why would I ever discuss something like that with a random stranger who has my name on a phone list?  That has identity theft written all over it!
So I'm looking forward to eating my dinner in peace in the near future.  Cheers!
