Jewelry Party

I am so glad my jewelry party was fun.  I had a great time with the people that came-- and a good turnout, too.  I always feel bad for the person presenting when only four or five people show up.  I loved how short the actual presenting portion of the show was.  It kept things casual enough where there was plenty of time to just chat, eat brownies, and play dress up with lots of fun jewelry.  I even tried on a few pieces just to be funny because they were so not me, only to find that I loved them (and apparently need to redefine what is 'me' when I go shopping).
As a side note, I had six unsupervised children in the other room, ranging in age from 22 months to 7 years.  As far as kids go, these were amazingly good!  We didn't hear a peep out of any of them for a long time.  So long, in fact, that when they did finally start to get a little loud I was actually relieved that I could kind of guess what it was they were doing in there without having to actually get up in the middle of the presentation.
But I think my favorite part of the whole thing was how ridiculously obsessed my sister was with the fruit dip that I made.  If anyone is feeling adventurous enough to try it, here is the recipe... try to keep up:

1 jar marshmallow fluff
1 tub whipped Philadelphia cream cheese
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Stir together until blended; serve with grapes, pineapple, strawberries or any fruit of your choice.  Or frost a cake with it.  Because it's defreakinlicious.
