A Full Day By 9:00a.m.
We have to keep our bathroom door closed because Ladybug is of the age that finds that to be the most fascinating playroom of the house. Occasionally someone forgets to pull it shut when they come out. Her favorite activity when she finds her way in is to stand on the toilet and toss as many bathroom accessories as she can reach into the sink. This usually involves toothbrushes, toothpaste, facewash, Dixie cup dispenser (with each individual cup removed), and the soap pump.
Today she found a superior ingredient to add to the mix: E's hair putty. Oh. My. Goodness. The mess I witnessed this morning left me speechless. The whole jar was painted on every surface imaginable. Does anyone remember 'Gak'? Because that is the most similar substance I can think of to explain the texture of this stretchy, goopy disaster. She had paid particular attention to every crack and crevice on the faucet. The silver lining was that for some reason she had apparently deemed the toothbrushes inappropriate paint brushes, opting instead for the finger painting method. That is good. That means that when I go out today to replace E's hairstyling goo, I don't also have to procure new toothbrushes for every member of the family. Ironically enough, I had to break out the old toothbrush I keep on hand for cleaning to get the last of the film off of everything.
In the meantime, as far as she was concerned, Ladybug got a reward: bath time! She was happily sloshing back and forth saying, "I fwim! I fwim! I a Mermie!"
