Face-To-Face Communication Is Underrated

In this day in age, people communicate electronically as much as possible, usually involving a computer or PDA-- or some other typed form of communication.  We even use our cell phones for texting instead of talking (or, at least, many people do.  I can't text very well).  This morning I was checking in on all the events I missed while working a twelve hour shift yesterday by reading up on my page from the online community I belong to.  While reading a message, I glanced over at the photo of another friend, only to notice it was missing.  I know this friend was doing a little 'housecleaning' recently, so I quickly assumed I must not have made the final cut.  I was disappointed, but decided to go on about my business.  But I couldn't let it go.  It kept gnawing at me:  what had I done to earn such a punishment?  I immediately started going through all communication I had recently with this friend.  Had I said something wrong?   Not that I could think of... well, maybe something I typed came across the wrong way-- after all, sarcasm like mine can be difficult to translate on the page if you don't know me well enough to hear in your head how I would say it.  No, really, I can't even think of anything like that... and boom.  I'm suddenly back in high school.  I have been shunned and I have no idea why.  I am a loser.  All my friends are going to quickly follow this example and run from me like I have The Plague (or, to update for the times: The Swine Flu).  Soon, I will have no one to 'LOL' with.  No one will read my blog anymore, so I might as well give up.
Well, you know what, maybe I should quit assuming and just ask another friend who would know what's up.  Yeah, sure enough, my neurotic tendencies got the best of me.  This friend had apparently temporarily deleted their entire page because they couldn't get their account to let them delete someone's inappropriate comment from their wall.  Seems it was nothing personal after all.  Jeez, CaserRacer-- self-esteem troubles at your age?  Will you never learn?  Gosh!
    I'm such a goober.
