This was the most fun Halloween for me by far.  Both of my girls were old enough to truly enjoy everything.  Baby Duck spent the morning teaching Ladybug how to say "Trick or Treat!", so they were both well rehearsed by the time the sun went down.  In fact, when Ladybug woke up from her nap this afternoon, instead of calling for me in the usual fashion she yelled, "I weddy go twickatweet!  I weddy, Mama!"
    We went to my aunt's house to have a nice little Halloween party, then trick or treat around her neighborhood.  Ladybug totally understood the whole thing and was ready for some candy!  She was yelling "twickatweet" over and over before anyone even had a chance to open their door!  
     My favorite quotes of the night:

Ladybug:  "To open, say abre!"

Me (to Baby Duck for the tenth time):  "Slow down and wait for your sister!"
Baby Duck:  "I'm trying, Mom.  It's not like I have tons of patience."

    All in all, they had an awesome time, which means I did, too.  Most all of my family came along, so we had a really nice night.  And to top the evening off, Ladybug barfed on the kitchen floor when we got home.  I think maybe the cupcake with the giant mountain of red icing on it might have put her over the edge!  But she was still all smiles, so even that didn't put a damper on our fun holiday!  I hope all of you had just as much fun.
