A Step In The Right Direction
Finally, a bright spot in what has been a tremendously cloudy football season for me. You see, I suffer from the affliction of being a Chiefs fan. My beloved Arrowhead dwellers have only managed to win one game so far this season and seem to have forgotten that the touchdown is the preferred method of scoring over the field goal-- it's more efficient. But there has been an overhaul in the top ranks this year, so I will suffer quietly as they attempt to get their ducks in a row. Besides, they have given me something to smile about: Larry Johnson has FINALLY been released!!! Oh, happy day! I have been embarrassed to see him in one of our jerseys for years! One of the reasons I love my team is because they have a generally decent reputation (read: they don't get into a lot of high-profile trouble compared to many other teams). Our stadium is LOUD, but we do not have the reputation for being tremendously inhospitable (like Raiders fans). Our players are recognized more often for community outreach programs than mugshots. I like supporting people like that. I do not like to see people succeed when they behave as Larry Johnson has been known to behave. He is an overgrown toddler given to violent tantrums. I don't give my kids candy when they flop on the floor and kick and scream; why should this man be given millions of dollars for the same behavior?
Nice call, Haley. Keep up the good work.
