Now That We've Had Thanksgiving, I Can Allow Us To Move On To Christmas.

I get frustrated every year as the Christmas celebration begins earlier and earlier.  I love the idea of spending a day giving thanks before we start making lists of all the new stuff we want (which seems to drown out the goodwill portion of Christmas anyway... but that's a whole nother post).
My family spent a nice Thanksgiving at E's uncle's home-- a little over four hours away.  This was the first time we had taken the girls on a road trip at all, let alone doing the round trip in one day.  They were awesome, considering they spent about nine hours in the car all combined.
Yesterday I realized I had to go to Target to get diapers...  You would think this story would end in me being horrendously frustrated with the Black Friday masses impeding my mission to obtain leak-free absorbency.  Surprisingly, you would be incorrect.  It was no different at our local Target than an average weekday evening.  So I did what any sane person would do:  I took advantage of both the sales and the fact that the girls were at home with E and got all Santa's business taken care of.  One less thing to schedule a babysitter for!
We also got the Christmas tree up and decorated last night.  Last year we retired our 'starter tree' that was only six feet tall in heels.  Around New Year's I went ahead and upgraded when the fancier artificials were 75% off.  I wish I could remember what we paid because I can subsist for days on the high created by getting a killer deal!  I know it was awesome, and the tree is just as great.  I had my first year of not getting dizzy wrapping lights around and around and around.  Prelit is the way to go!  I'm high-tech now!  Before you know it I'll have a cell phone with a full keyboard-- then I can 'text it up' like the cool kids do...
So I hope you all found as much to be thankful for this week as I did.  Now we can all have a holly, jolly Christmas.
