My Favorite Christmas Special
I have a confession: while I love "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and all the others like them, my absolute favorite Christmas special of all time is Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas Celebration. First airing in 1987, it became the one I most looked forward to every December. I don't remember when I entered the "too cool for kid-friendly holiday programming" phase, but when I exited it, my beloved show was gone from the winter lineup! I have been unsuccessful for years in trying to catch it on television, so I am doing what anyone else would do: tracking it down on youtube.
I managed to find the whole thing and introduced my girls to it tonight. They seemed to really enjoy it as well... but, then again, they are about as odd as their mother, so I don't know what that even means.
